Updating the blogfolio

I have a soft spot for rough textures that wasn’t fitting in with the blog’s previous design, so I took a bit of a sledgehammer to it. This involved pairing back the warm, flat color scheme to one with layered, paperlike textures adapted in photoshop to allow for some repeat. Images across the site will be adapting a more ephemera and sticker bomb-inspired touch mimicked by some organic, off-kilter alignments for some charm.

I also stepped back my personal branding logo from a more mid century typography to a more readable sans-serif. Over time, I’ll be making more sticker-like moments around the site; the plan is to use these to highlight the things I’m doing around the net, showcase some of my favorite things, and play around with new techniques.

I’m also planning on some typography changes down the line for a more retro, ephemera feel – but, that’s for another time. The idea is to add charm and bespoke design elements over time and have the blogfolio adapt to new projects and and focuses.

Until then, I gotta fix the header’s minimum width on mobile stretching too far past the viewport. Later, though. For now, I’ve got some podcasts to edit.
